The Central Library of SMCET is the intellectual heart of the institution, serving as a comprehensive knowledge resource center for students, faculty, and research scholars. Established along with the college in 1998, the library has grown to become one of the finest academic libraries in the region.

Spread across 5,000+ sq. ft. of well-organized space, our library provides a tranquil and conducive environment for learning, research, and self-study. It operates on an open-access system combined with digital cataloguing for easy reference and retrieval.

The library subscribes to leading national and international journals and provides access to digital resources through platforms like DELNET, NPTEL, SWAYAM, and NDL (National Digital Library).

Guidelines

Library Rules & Regulations

  • Students must carry their library cards for borrowing books.
  • Maximum of 3 books can be borrowed at a time for a period of 14 days.
  • Reference books, journals, and periodicals are for reading within the library only.
  • Silence must be maintained inside the library premises at all times.
  • Personal belongings, bags, and mobile phones are not permitted inside the library.
  • Loss or damage of books must be reported immediately and compensated.
  • Late return of books will attract a fine as per library policy.
