The focal point is to address the radical challenges in the development of ideas in Language pedagogy at the tertiary level. The Department of Science & Humanities offers a plethora of opportunities to the budding technocrats to learn to think creatively and critically.
The Predominant objective of the Department of English is to impart enhanced communication skills to students and thereby to improve their chances of placement opportunities. The students are trained to develop their Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing Skills and to excel in their communicative abilities which would open the gateway of opportunities.
Immense care is taken to focus on students who come from Tamil medium background and we help them become conversant in English. Strenuous efforts are being put in consistently to improve the teaching learning process. A modern language laboratory has been installed with all necessary software to help students hone their communicative skills.
The Department of Mathematics stands focused to its ideals in imparting arithmetic knowledge and preparing the students towards achieving academic excellence through the acquisition of core competence in Mathematics which is relevant to the engineering professionals.
The Department has highly qualified and experienced staff who volunteer to mentor students. The goal of the department is to make sure that mathematics is made easy. We motivate and inspire the students to have a strong background in the basics of Mathematics and to offer a wider exposure to the engineering students.
The Department of Physics is functioning from the inception of the college to impart quality education for undergraduate engineering students in the field of physics. The course curriculum is periodically upgraded to suit the requirements of different engineering as per the Anna University regulation.
The objective of the department is to motivate and inspire the students to have a strong background in basic science for the engineering curriculum and to feed the budding engineer with fine aspects of science, which make them to understand, exploit and innovate and contribute to the technological advancement of tomorrow.
The department was established in the year 1998 and has been very loyal to teach the basics of applied chemistry to B.E./B.TECH first year students. The department has highly qualified and dedicated faculty members who actively engage themselves in the research activities other than the academic schedule. The department has excellent infrastructure for the conduct of Lab Classes and applied research work besides pursuing its objective of preparing students for challenging careers.
