B.E. Mechanical Engineering

B.E. Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is one of the largest, broadest, and oldest engineering disciplines. It is a broad engineering discipline that blends core concepts of science and technology. Mechanical engineers use the principles of energy, materials, and mechanics to analyze, design and manufacture complex machines and devices of all types. They create the processes and systems that drive almost the entire technology and Industry.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at St. Michael has a dedicated team of faculty. They are highly qualified and experienced with a rich blend of teaching, research and industrial experience. They are committed and motivated to establish the Department as a centre for advanced studies in mechanical engineering. They have a far sighted objective to provide quality engineering education, with a sound blend of theoretical knowledge and hands on experience, to meet the current and emerging needs of the society and to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among students to enable to launch their own ventures.

The department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2012 with these core objectives. The department has state of the art facilities for various laboratories, classrooms to support e-learning in addition to a department library. Guest lectures, internships, and industrial visits are periodically arranged for the students to supplement their curriculum. We strive for all round excellence in students, encouraging them both in curricular and all extra-curricular activities.
